The aim of Ngage is to give children knowledge of the Christian faith and show them that Jesus is alive, loves them and wants to be their friend. We provide a safe environment where they can learn how to care for themselves, each other and the wider community. Ngage meets most Sunday mornings during the 10.15am service.

Now our building project is under way, there have been some important changes to NGAGE. This is because the groups aren’t able to meet in the hall next door to the church. For the duration of the project the children and young people aged from 0 to around 13 are meeting in St. John’s Primary School, Westmorland Drive and should be dropped off at the school before the service begins (from 9.45am) although we do ask that the accompanying adult registers the children before leaving.

On the second, third and fifth Sundays, the children are then brought back to church for the end of the service by their leaders. On the fourth Sunday they are again brought back to church but this time during the service so they can join in Communion with everyone else.

Visiting children are always welcome to come along and join in, just come along to school and meet the leaders. If you do come directly to church, there will always be someone there to greet you and explain more about NGAGE and see if your child would still like to take part.

Most under 3s stay in church with their parents. If they become unsettled, we also run a crèche in the church for babies and young toddlers and you are welcome to make use of that.

Ngage doesn’t run on the first Sunday of each month or during the summer holidays when all ages worship together in church.

As well as the groups on Sunday mornings there is also a girls midweek group, Shine, that meets on alternate Tuesdays for those aged 10 to 14, usually at St. Alban’s, Park Road.

Impact, our group for teenagers in year 9 and above which meets on a Thursday evening, again usually at St. Alban’s, Park Road. You can find out more about Impact here
